DeepWork Focus Timer ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

When you use DeepWork Focus Timer, you may provide us with:

• Profile and sharing information: DeepWork Focus Timer does not use a first-party account system. If you enable optional social or accountability features, profile display names, partner codes, and shared progress settings may be stored so those features can work.
• Focus Data: Project names, session durations, deadlines, journal entries, and tags you create within the app.
• Purchase Information: If you subscribe or buy Lifetime access, Apple handles all payment processing. The app receives StoreKit transaction and entitlement status but not your payment card details.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

We may automatically collect:

• Usage Data: Focus sessions, project activity, streaks, and feature settings used to provide reports and app functionality.
• Device Information: Device and operating system information may be available through Apple frameworks used for app operation and diagnostics.
• Analytics: The app computes productivity analytics from your own focus data. No third-party analytics SDK is currently included in the project.

1.3 Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect or have access to your calendar events (unless you explicitly sync deadlines)
• We do not collect your location data
• We do not collect your contacts or personal files
• We do not track you across other apps or websites

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and maintain the DeepWork Focus Timer service
• Sync your data across devices via iCloud (if enabled)
• Send you notifications you've requested (session alerts, reminders)
• Process your Premium subscription
• Improve and optimize the app experience
• Respond to your support requests
• Comply with legal obligations

3. Data Storage & Security

3.1 Local Storage

Your focus data (projects, sessions, journal entries) is stored locally on your device using Apple's secure data storage frameworks. This data remains on your device unless you enable iCloud sync.

3.2 iCloud Sync

If you enable iCloud sync (Premium feature), your data is stored in your personal iCloud account, secured by Apple's encryption. We do not have direct access to your iCloud data.

3.3 Security Measures

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including:

• Encryption of data in transit and at rest
• Secure coding practices
• Regular security reviews

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes. We may share information with:

• Service Providers: We use Apple's services (iCloud, App Store) which have their own privacy policies.
• Optional sharing features: If you enable accountability or social features, the app may share the progress information you choose to make visible through those features.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.
• Business Transfers: In the event of a merger or acquisition, your data may be transferred with notice.

5. Your Rights & Choices

5.1 Access & Export

You can export all your DeepWork Focus Timer data at any time through the app's Settings > Export Data feature.

5.2 Deletion

You can delete all your data through Settings > Delete All Data. This action is permanent and cannot be undone.

5.3 Notifications

You can control notifications through your device's Settings app or within DeepWork Focus Timer's notification settings.

5.4 iCloud Sync

You can enable or disable iCloud sync at any time in the app settings.

6. Children's Privacy

DeepWork Focus Timer is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us immediately.

7. International Data Transfers

If you use DeepWork Focus Timer outside of your country of residence, your data may be processed in other countries. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers.

8. Third-Party Services

DeepWork Focus Timer may integrate with third-party services:

• Apple Services: iCloud, App Store, Siri, Calendar, Reminders, WidgetKit, and Apple Watch features where you enable them

These services have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the app and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the app after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.

11. California Privacy Rights
